The History of Rosencone Gallery

Dawn Rosendahl and Cheryl Turner started Rosencone Studios, an Orlando based scenic design and production studio in 1989. Dawn and Cheryl had met two years earlier while working for Disney as sculptors. Their combined experience and talent gave them a creative edge in their field. The projects were diverse and included desigining, painting backdrops, sculpting, carpentry, fiberglass, scale models, drafting, proto types as well as mold and model building. Years later, the two started creating plaster wall sculptures themed for gays and lesbians. These sculptures became a passion for the two and the scenic part of the business slowly took a back seat.

Rosencone Studios has evolved into a gallery that show cases Dawn and Cheryl's individual art work. Their art is collected througout the United States, Europe and Australia. The two have been life partners for 19 years and both shared in raising Cheryl's daughter Kelly.
